
Acta Medica Philippina is a peer-reviewed general medical and health science journal that is published monthly by the University of the Philippines Manila, and publishes original scientific papers in the field of basic and clinical medical or health-related research. It has complete editorial independence from its publisher. The journal accepts original papers, case reports, current reviews and commentaries from any author provided criteria are met.
Manuscripts are received with the understanding that they are not under simultaneous consideration by another publisher. Accepted manuscripts become the permanent property of the Acta Medica Philippina and may not be republished without permission from the Editor-in-chief. These manuscripts are subject to editorial modifications to bring them in conformity with the style of the journal. Statements or views expressed by an author or authors are not the responsibilities of the editor or publisher.

The Philippine Journal of Health Research and Development (PJHRD) (formerly the UP Manila Journal) is a peer-reviewed journal that aims to publish researches with a broad scope covering all aspects of environmental and human health. This quarterly journal aims to reach broader readership and provide easy access to high-quality articles from multiple disciplines that include, but are not limited to, the allied health sciences, such as rehabilitation sciences, dental medicine, nursing and health care, pharmacy and natural products, food science and nutrition, health informatics, as well as public and environmental health, ecotoxicology, health social sciences, health professions education, health policy and governance. Systematic reviews, original research, and case reports will be accepted. Special focus will be given to research that reflects collaboration among different disciplines and that addresses areas in the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA) 2011-2016. The Editorial Board will endeavor to consistently publish work that is of cogent methodology and that makes an important contribution to scientific knowledge.
